Proactive Compliance Strategy for Sustainable Chemical Management: GoChem 1000
Aiming to achieve the Strategic Approach to International Chemicals Management (SAICM) 2020 goals, SAHTECH has been actively devoting to promote the initiative of proactive chemical management. Developed by SAHTECH, GoChem 1000 is a useful resource to identify potential chemicals of concerns. GoChem 1000 collects high hazard chemical substances, widely used in high tonnage in Taiwan, and projects chemicals that are likely to be further regulated in Taiwan and elsewhere, based on the risk-based approach. By comparing company’s chemical inventory with GoChem 1000, companies can easily screen out chemicals in their products or workplace deserving advanced attention for regulatory compliance and product stewardship purposes. Companies can therefore understand the footprint of these prioritized harmful targets, and proactively take actions to reduce the use of high concern chemicals. Gochem1000 is currently comprising about 1,030 chemical substances, including substance like 1,3-dichloropropan-2-ol, and 4-tert-butylbenzoic acid and further more. GoChem 1000 will be updated regularly and continuously. For more details, GoChem1000 is now available on www.gochemgo.com.tw.
