The Ministry of Environment stated that since announcing the draft of the "Regulations on the Control of Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances and Their Operation" on August 5, 2025, it has continuously collected opinions from industry and various sectors and made adjustments based on international management trends. The latest public statement from the Chemical Industry Administration indicates that the 269 PFAS substances previously announced will not be all included in the regulations at once, but rather will be managed in stages and at different levels, with adjustments made in accordance with the rolling addition of new substances to the list in accordance with international conventions.
