Among these revisions, the management system for PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances), which has attracted significant domestic and international attention, will be implemented gradually in accordance with the Toxic and Concerned Chemical Substances Management Act. The Ministry of Environment stated that since announcing the draft of the "Regulations on the Control of Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances and Their Operation" on August 5, 2025, it has continuously collected opinions from industry and various sectors and made adjustments based on international management trends. The latest public statement from the Chemical Industry Administration indicates that the 269 PFAS substances previously announced will not be all included in the regulations at once, but rather will be managed in stages and at different levels, with adjustments made in accordance with the rolling addition of new substances to the list in accordance with international conventions. 1. Revised amendments to Regulation of New and Existing Chemical Substances Registration (Draft)

Pursuant to the amendment of Taiwan Toxic Chemical Substances Control Act (TCSCA), the subordinate implementing law "Regulations of New and Existing Chemical Substances Registration and Management" were enacted on 11^th December 2014. This amendment draft, proposed by Taiwan Toxic and Chemical Substances Bureau (TCSB), aims to update the provisions of previous notified draft (2017/9/29) under the "Regulations of New and Existing Chemical Substances Registration" (G/TBT/N/TPKM/291). English version of the draft articles are provided for comment until 2018/6/3.

2. Proposed amendment of “the Regulations for the Labeling and Hazard Communication of Hazardous Chemicals"

Taiwan MINISTRY OF LABOR Notice is hereby given, to commence a period of public comments for the draft amendment on partial articles and Appendix 4 of Article 12 of "Regulations for the Labeling and Hazard Communication of Hazardous Chemicals", OSHA Act. Main amendments include language requirement in Traditional Chinese and CBI application rules on SDS disclosure. This is published on the Executive Yuan Gazette 2018/3/31 with 60 days of comment period.
