On behalf of Ministry of Labor, Alliance of chemical management office (AOCM) has announced a draft Guidance on Hazard Assessment and Exposure Assessment (in Chinese only).

The Guidance is constructed in accordance with the request of information on hazard assessment and exposure assessment specified in the Article 13 of the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSH Act) and the Article 28 of the Regulations on New Chemical Substances Registration.

The purpose of the guidance document is to assist industry in understanding the general provisions for conducting hazard and exposure assessment. The guidance provides an overview of the basic and common framework for hazard and exposure assessment. It also outlines the procedure needed to identify the potential hazard and exposure of new chemical substances. Along with the New Chemical Registration Guidance which has already published last year, register can have a better understanding of the requirement to comply with the registration obligation.

The MOL is seeking comments on current draft version. All stakeholders can provide suggestions and comments, via the Comment Form attached, to AOCM at ECN@osha.gov.tw
