國際間化學品政策的革新與提升管理，已成為近年來各國化學品主管機關發展的重點工作，同時在發展國際貿易活動中法規制度健全更是不容忽視的課題。我國目前 已啟動化學品源頭管理機制、建置國家化學物質清單，逐步完備化學品管理制度，持續接軌國際邁向2020年聯合國SAICM完善化學品管理之目標。

為汲取領先國家經驗，我國特別邀請歐盟歐洲化學總署(ECHA)官員、日本行政法人製品評技術基盤機構(NITE)官員與韓國貿易、工業及能源部 (MOTIE)官員來台分享各國化學品的管理制度現況與未來規劃，以及邀請國內產、官、學各界共同交流討論。研討會主題包括歐盟REACH註冊檔案確認執 行現狀介紹、日本化學品風險評估與PRTR介紹、韓國K-REACH跨部會合作與聯合登錄試運作分享等。期使藉此機會對國際化學品管理制度之發展有更深入 的了解，有助於我國未來相關制度之規劃與推動，強化我國化學品管理能量。

International Chemical Management Workshop is coming up on Nov. 5^th in Taipei

To mark the very first year of the registration in Taiwan, the International Chemical Management Workshop is going to be held on Nov. 5^th in Taipei. This workshop is to exchange the ongoing of the chemical registration scheme in Taiwan with all the stakeholders. At the same time, three expert representatives from EU ECHA, Japan NITE and Korea MOTIE are invited to share practical experience from their jurisdictions, and will discuss the current state of policy implementation and their future plans. As the workshop co-organizer, SAHTECH is pleased to invite our international stakeholders to joint this first International Chemical Management Workshop in Taiwan. Hopefully, this workshop can bring out an exceptional platform for exchange and access of the most relevant updated regulatory information and compliance strategies.

Additionally, ASEAN (The Association of Southeast Asian Nations) countries are also working hard on boosting their chemical management capacity along with this reform trend carried out by SAICM and EU REACH. Seeing the growing chemical business between Taiwan and the ASEAN countries, and clearly the possibility of the impact on the chemical management compliance, SAHTECH hold a Workshop on Chemical Management in ASEAN Countries on Nov. 4^th in Taipei. An introduction of the updated chemical management of the ASEAN countries, and the newly adopted ASEAN-Japan chemical safety database will be covered by the experts from Japan NITE.
