TCCSCA –The 7th revisedToxic Chemical Substances Control Act in Taiwan has been promulgated on Jan,16,2019

 

Article 30:

-       The revisions to the Toxic and Concerned Chemical Substances Control Act will require manufacturers or importers of toxic chemicals to register certain information with the EPA. This includes information on the circumstances of the manufacture/import of the chemicals, their physical forms, their chemical compositions, toxicities and exposures. and hazard assessments. There are 3 types of registration: Small Quantity registration, Simplified registration and standard registration

-       Any substance which is not listed in the existing substance inventory will be considered as New Substance.

-        According to the Article 2 of registration regulation, a registrant may appoint a representative to apply for the chemical substance registration. Foreign companies as a result of confidential considerations have to ask their agents or importers to entrust a Third Party Representative(TPR) (similar OR function of EU REACH) for implementing registrations of new and existing substances.
